Do not miss this opportunity to meet Dr. Mark Horton, California's State Health Officer, and share his experiences in helping transform the California Department of Public Health. Please pass this along to interested colleagues.
The John J. Hanlon Public Health Practice Lecture is intended to bring to students, faculty and the wider pubic health community insights on health policy trends that shape our community. The lecture also honors the legacy of Dr. Hanlon, his vision and leadership which played an essential role in the founding of the Graduate School of Public Health more that 25 years ago.
Dr. Hanlon, former U.S. Assistant Surgeon General, is perhaps best known for his Public Health Management book which for many years was the standard text in this field. This lecture is also part of the Public Health Practice Seminar class (PH700G).
