Biography:

Dr. Louise Hofherr is an Associate Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She has an MA in microbiology from San Jose State University, an MPH in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in environmental health from the University of Minnesota. Prior to coming to SDSU, she taught in the Medical School at the University of Minnesota, was a Laboratory Director, and a researcher for contract research organizations. She has been a member of the faculty in the Epidemiology/Biostatistics Division in the GSPH since 1987. Her research interests have included infectious diseases, quality infectious disease testing, and select environmental issues. She has been involved with several grants encompassing these research areas.
