Special presentations include the first Benenson Distinguished Lecture by Donald A. ("DA") Henderson, MD, MPH, and a Gala Dinner address by former California State Senator Deborah Ortiz.

We have two full days of activities planned: Symposium with Poster Session Friday, April 13, 10:00 - 7:00 p.m. $40 per person; $20 for students Benenson Distinguished Lecturer: Donald A. Henderson, MD, MPH, University of Pittsburgh, "Emerging Infectious Diseases - The New Global Challenge" Poolside Reception Friday, April 13, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Free No-host bar. Fun and Educational Walk at Mission Bay Saturday April 14, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m Free GSPH Professors John Elder, Health Promotion/Behavioral Sciences and Rick Gersberg, Occupational and Environmental Health will be joining us for informal discussions about GSPH programs promoting fitness, exercise, and the status of water quality in Mission and San Diego Bays. Balboa Park Museum Tour Saturday April 14, 12:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Free A docent led tour of the Timken Museum. Gala Dinner with Silent Auction and Dancing Saturday April 14, 5:30 - 11:00 p.m. $75 per person; $750 per table of 10 Black tie optional. Special guests of honor include former California State Senator Deborah Ortiz and GSPH founders.
