Adding Yourself to the Mailing List
You must have some kind of e-mail before subscribing. If you have service at home that you like, use it! There is no requirement that you must get your e-mail through SDSU to subscribe.
From whatever e-mailer you are using, start a new message.
To: majordomo@lists.sdsu.edu
Subject: (leave it blank)
The message portion of your mail should consist of just three words on two lines, no punctuation marks:
subscribe gsph
end
Make certain that this message is in simple text - no colors, bolding, italics or other features.
After sending this subscription request, you should receive a confirmation from Majordomo.
Removing Yourself from the Mailing List
Subscribers must remove themselves from our mailing list. To end your subscription you must be able to access the e-mail from which you wish to remove your name. Use that e-mail service to send a new e-mail to majordomo@lists.sdsu.edu with a message similar to that above on two lines with no punctuation that reads:
unsubscribe gsph
end
Make certain that this message is in simple text - no colors, bolding, italics or other features. Removal should be immediate.
Please note: Do not try to unsubscribe by sending a message to gsph@lists. This message will not remove your name but merely broadcasts your request to all subscribers.
