Special Event - June 14-15, 2007
Description:
- Interested in how Homeland Security will be affected by a catastrophic nuclear incident in California?
- Do you want to know how local, state and federal public health officials and first responders will manage and overcome critical infrastructure, emergency response and medical challenges?
While investigating these issues, this conference will provide a forum where experts, academics and students can discuss how to better prepare for this unthinkable threat to Homeland Security.
Sponsored jointly by the Homeland Security and Defense Education Consortium and the San Diego State University Global Emergency Preparedness and Response Summer Institute, this conference will promote effective methods for understanding, planning, and preparing for a nuclear/radiological weapon attack.
