Important Information for New MPH and MS Students, Fall 2008
Congratulations on your admission to the Graduate School of Public Health at SDSU!
We are pleased that you will join us this fall. You may wonder, what is next? Here is a brief synopsis of what you can expect over the next few months:
After you return your response card to usYou will hear from Graduate Admissions (via your WebPortal account) concerning the decision on your application by Graduate Admissions.

After you have been formally admitted by Graduate AdmissionsWatch your WebPortal account for information about the date by which you need to pay your fees, and your assigned date/time to register for classes via WebPortal.
(Note: The date/time assigned to you is the first possible moment that you may register; if you cannot register at that exact time, please note that you may do so at any point after that time, up to the end of the regular registration period.)
Graduate Admissions will notify Financial Aid of your admission. If you have applied for financial aid, you will hear from that office concerning your financial aid package.

International StudentsYour I-20 will be issued by the International Student Center after you have been formally admitted by Graduate Admissions. Please contact the International Student Center with any questions or concerns regarding your I-20.

Toward the end of JuneAdvising letters will be mailed out to all new students. Please follow these letters in registering for your first semester of classes.
|
|
In early August Information will be sent to you about the GSPH Orientation, scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, August 28. You will be assigned to a faculty advisor at Orientation.

GA Positions
At this time, we do not have any GA positions available. Any GA position announcements will be sent out on the GSPH Mailing List. Please see the instructions to subscribe to the GSPH Mailing List. All students are encouraged to join the mailing list to receive important announcements from the GSPH.

Have You Moved?
If you move during the summer, please be sure to change your address via WebPortal AND notify Brenda Fass-Holmes of your new address.
