Admission Requirements and Application
Applicants should submit application materials by May 1 for fall consideration. Students will not be admitted in the Spring semester. For more information contact Brenda Fass-Holmes at 619-594-4492.
The requirements for admission to the Graduate Division of San Diego State University and the Master of Science in Public Health Specialization: Global Emergency Preparedness and Response are as follows:
- A candidate, in good standing, will have completed an acceptable baccalaureate degree program from an institute accredited by a regional accrediting association.
- Must have a 2.85 GPA or special approval of the Graduate Advisory Committee, and an acceptable GRE Score.
- Three letters of recommendation will be required and a personal interview with the Graduate
Advisory Committee may be requested.
- Students must first satisfy the requirements for admission to the University Graduate Division and must complete the Graduate Studies application on line.
Application Procedure
Applying to this program is a two-step process:
- San Diego State University Graduate Application*
Apply to the University with the application fee of $55.00 payable by credit card, debit card, or check. Send official GRE results (general test) forwarded by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to SDSU, Institution Code 4682, Department Code 0000.
Online SDSU Graduate Application
Send one official (sealed) transcript from all postsecondary institutions attended to:
