Program:Fulbright New Century Scholars Program (NCS)
Sponsor:U.S. Dept. of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by:CIES (Council for International Exchange of Scholars)

Description:Gathers 31 outstanding research scholars and professionals from around the world (1/3 from the U.S.) for collaboration on a topic of international significance. 2/3 of the scholars are from any of the 140 countries worldwide with an active Fulbright program.
Timeline:Program announced in July of each year.Application deadline in December of the same year.Scholars selected in February of the following year. International research visits begin in August, midterm meeting occurs in October/November, and the final plenary
