Title:ATPM/CDC Preventive Medicine and Public Health Fellowship Program - 21 Fellowships!

Description:The Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine (ATPM) is pleased to announce 21 new fellowships at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Applications for these 1-2 year positions are due by April 20, 2006.

This program provides leadership training in public health practice and policy to: master s, doctoral and post-doctoral level graduate students; preventive medicine and primary care residents; and early career professionals (with a minimum of a master's degree) in a variety of disciplines. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or hold a visa permitting permanent residence in the U.S.

Fellowships will start throughout the summer of 2006.

Most Fellowship positions are located in Atlanta, Georgia. Additional locations include Hyattsville, Maryland and Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • Post-Doctoral Fellowship in STD Prevention (3 positions)
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences & Long-Term Health
  • Arthritis: Further Defining Epidemiology and Impact
  • Assessing the Public Health Impact of Excessive Alcohol Consumption
  • Assessment of Genetic Testing in Clinical and Public Health Practice
  • Assessing the Health Impact of Advances in Genomics
  • Building Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology for Public Health Practice
  • Community-Based Prevention Research Assessment
  • Developing First Responder Resource Materials
  • Dissemination Research - Cancer Prevention
  • Epidemiological Analysis of Air Pollution and Health (MD)
  • Health Communications - Birth Defects
  • Health Communications - Occupational Health (OH)
  • Health Marketing and Communication Science (2 positions)
  • The Intersection of Genetic Testing, Health Communication, and Technology
  • Occupational Health Surveillance (OH)
  • Rebuilding Core Public Health Capacities in Infectious Diseases
  • Women s Health Project Assessment & Alignment Project
