| Description: | Duties: Extracts data from various databases for report generation. Generates ad hoc reports and databases to address specific business needs. Recommends improvements to permanent reports. Designs and develops reports to manage business processes. Develops new ad hoc reports to address specific business needs. Serves as consultant to department staff in interpreting data. Serves as technical consultant on new in products and technology. Acts as interface between systems group and end users. Coordinates systems support. Performs system administration, including system security, software update management, and data dictionary maintenance. Performs master file maintenance. Defines data purge and retention cycles. Monitors data quality and integrity. Participates in business improvement project teams. Analyzes impact of process or technical tool changes on existing processes, tools, and interfaces based on knowledge of interdependencies of related functions and systems. Delivers training for end users on system. Ensures adequacy and quality of process and procedure documentation. May lead cross functional user groups in optimizing the use of existing tools and reports. May perform user system training. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures. |
| Requirements: | Qualifications: Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science or user specific area. Significant experience, typically three (3)+ years in business systems analysis and administration. Ability to use multiple sophisticated PC and MIS programming languages. Knowledge of the business area served. Must be able to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Three (3)+ years database design, development, maintenance and reporting, data analysis and interpretation, information technology systems and databases, and coaching and mentoring. Project planning and work plan development. Strong technical skills including MS Office, MS Access, SQL and Clarity reporting. Demonstrated ability to develop and proactively manage large, complex databases to ensure high quality and timely data. Must be able to work effectively with Data Team, and function as a mentor and resource. Results oriented with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Working with large, complex data sets and data systems, experience in healthcare environment. Healthcare operations. Project management. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, team environment. |
