The CBHS Program Assistant (PA) assists the Project Director (PD) in all project-related responsibilities, including: the day-to-day implementation and coordination of project activities and implementation and supervision of program M&E activities, aggregation and analysis of findings, recording and reporting, and coordination and oversight of the M&E Contractor, and all CBHS-related M&E functions The PA will provide support for: 1) Overall coordination of and interfacing with key stakeholders involved in the CBHS Consortium, working directly with the members to continuously engage them in collaborative work and strategic planning; and 2) Administrative and logistical assistance to the PD with the cost-effective management of all aspects of the CBHS project, including project design, implementation, evaluation and documentation; 3) In collaboration with PCIs M&E unit, the PA will ensure quality in program design, indicator selection, development and management of monitoring processes and systems, statistical analyses and outcome evaluations, as well as strategies for documentation and sharing of lessons learned. .

| Requirements: | Must be available for occasional local travel (within California)
May require overtime during peak periods.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Health or technical training and 3 years additional years of relevant work experience
- 3-4 years professional experience in a similar position with 1-2 years experience with complex community health programs, preferably in perinatal health and within the US/Mexico border region; experience should include Monitoring and Evaluation for public health programming, ideally with a focus on perinatal health.
- Experience convening, coordinating, and providing administrative support to large and diverse groups of stakeholders, networks.
- Experience in financial management and administration and coordinating logistics for large groups.
- Experience and capacity in institutionalizing M&E systems and standards throughout an organization with strength in capacity building.
- Proficiency in Epi-Info, SAS, BMDP, SPSS or STATA is required
- Understanding and experience in qualitative and quantitative data gathering and how data relates to program design, management and quality.
- Experience in the analysis of large and small data sets for projects in public health and for quality assurance purposes.
- Knowledge and understanding of current social, economic and public health programs
- Ability to take initiative, solve problems and anticipate actions, and to use creative means to complete tasks
- Experience in public speaking and presentations
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Excellent organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and respond to constructive criticism
- Proficient in MSOffice (Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, taking input and guidance from a variety of staff
- Strong time management skills and ability to work with and respect deadlines
- Reliable transportation
