Description:	University Health Services at The University of Texas at Austin is accepting applications for a Health Education Coordinator for Nutrition. This position assesses, plans, implements and evaluates health promotion activities and initiatives that meet the needs of the UT student body, specifically in the area of nutrition. In addition to providing presentations, workshops, trainings, and special events, this position provides individual nutrition consultations and provides eating disorder support services. In coordination with UHS staff, the candidate will help determine programming content and methods to meet identified needs, as well as develop, research, and evaluate nutrition-related information in the form of articles, brochures and online materials.
Requirements:	Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of health promotion theory and practice are essential. Extensive knowledge of current and emerging college health issues related to nutrition (specifically eating disorders, disordered eating, weight management, body image, and sports nutrition) is also essential. Experience providing clinical nutrition consultations for clients with eating disorders as part of an eating disorder treatment team is strongly preferred. Licensure as a Registered Dietician is required. A masters degree with major course work in health education or community health is preferred.
