Job Title:Research Associate/Senior Research Associate

  • Several part-time or full-time independent consulting positions available, effective January 2008
  • Short-term (6 months or less) or long-term (one or more years) consulting projects available
  • Very flexible scheduling including weekdays, eevenings, nights, or weekends
  • Ability to workk on-site or remotely (off-site)

Duties:

  • Conduct literature searches and summary reviewws
  • Conduct web-based searches of published soources by content area for research purposes
  • Retrieve references (e.g., peer review articles)
  • Devise epidemiological study designs
  • Deesign survey instruments and other tools for data collection purposes
  • Code survey instruments and other devised data collection tools
  • Determine appropriate metrics to capture health outcomes, including quality of life indicators appropriate for given intervention studies
  • Identify miinimum datasets for research and evaluation studies
  • Create data dictionaries
  • Design and ddevelop electronic databases (including data entry modules)
  • Develop publication plans (e.g., identification of publication venues, thematic categorization by subject)
  • Develop project-specific training and education materials for workshop and seminar manuals and e-classes
  • Perform staatistical analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, bivariate analyses, categorical and linear multivariate modeling, Cox Proportional Hazard modeling, Kaplan-Meier survival analyses, etc.)
  • Preparee, write, and submit scientific abstracts
  • Prrepare, write, and submit technical reports, trade journal articles, and peer-review manuscripts
  • Perform other research measurement, analytics, and results dissemination services as requested
Requirements:
  • Minimum oof a Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline. Master's degree (M.P.H., M.S., or M.A.), R.N., ABD or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Graduate students are welcome to apply.
  • A minimum of two or more years experience in a health care research setting.
  • Strong proficienccy in SPSS, SAS and other analytic software programs as well as MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills rrequired, both verbal and writing skills.
  • Dyynamic interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as work efficiently within a cross-functional team to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent organizattional skills a must.
Compensation:Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience level of applicant Contractor and skill set. Compensation range is between $20/hr to $50/hr or on a fee- for-service basis per assigned project.
