The Institute for Health & Aging (IHA) is an organized research unit at UCSF. The work of the Institute includes extensive and successful research, training and public service in the areas of aging, health, and health policy. In collaboration with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), IHA will manage data and review research requests on birth defects, which is the leading cause of infant mortality in California and the nation through the California Birth Defects Monitoring Program (CBDMP). The Program Analyst will assist with the operations of the CBDMP. This includes assisting with the tracking and approval of research requests; the development and operations of the research proposal review committee; development of scientific guidelines related to research involving prenatal blood specimens; and ensuring confidentiality protocols are established and closely monitored. This position is permanently located in Sacramento, CA. |
| Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in public health, political science, social and behavioral science, or other related field and a minimum of two years of professional public health program experience. Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access database. |
