The Homeland Protection and Preparedness Business Unit is seeking a Masters level Public Health Researcher or Epidemiologist who will provide research and design support for a large Navy Program for Combat and Operational Stress Control. This opportunity will be located in a Navy Hospital that will serve as a Premier Center for treatment and care of individuals suffering from Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The public health researcher will perform scientific research, develop protocols for research efforts, manage IRB submission for conducting research studies, assist with database creation and data entry, and write scientific papers for publication.

Requirements:Experience working in the field of combat stress, military health care, or previous military experience desired.

Due to federal contract regulations, US Citizenship is required.

Required Education/Skills: Masters Degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field from an accredited college or university. In addition to above, proficiency in MS office and familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS).

Desired Skills/Experience: Masters Degree or higher in epidemiology or related public health field and at least 4+ years of professional research experience preferred. Experience working in the field of combat stress, previous military experience or work in the military health care field desired. Demonstrated experience in study design, data collection and management, statistical analysis, and scientific writing preferred. Familiarity with DOD, MHS and TRICARE desired.
