Job Title:	Research Associate II

Description:	Candidate will support a program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to study and change the nutrition environments in six (6) elementary and two (2) middle schools in the Lemon Grove School District close to the campus of San Diego State University. This is a part-time position for 2 years with full medical, dental, and vision benefits. Opportunities exist for full time work and work with other projects in the future contingent on performance, availability, and appropriate skills.
Requirements:	Must be available to work anytime between the hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday. Must have reliable transportation as position requires some travel to schools for data collection and other project needs. Mileage is reimbursed. Must have a bachelors degree in psychology, public health, exercise science, nutrition, biology or other related field. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Experience with SPSS and ACCESS a plus. Research experience in a community setting preferred. Experience with behavioral observation and in working with low-income families in school settings is also preferred. Individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have solid follow-through and interpersonal skills.
