Job Title:Grant Writer
Company:San Ysidro Health Center
Location:San Diego
Description:Provides support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) by identifying appropriate grants and other funding opportunities. Responsible for researching grants, writing grants, and the compilation and submission of funding proposals and grant applications as approved by the Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for monitoring compliance and reporting requirements, and working with the COO to identify opportunities for enhancing long range funding prospects.
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required with university level research and writing experience.

Previous grant writing experience at a professional level required. Previous development work experience for nonprofit organizations. Extensive experience utilizing the Internet in research projects required. Administrative experience in a community health clinic or other health environment is desirable

Technical Knowledge:

Knowledge of government and private funding sources and practices.
Must have the ability to understand quasi-legal Federal instructions and guidelines.
Broad knowledge of sources of information and statistics at national, state and county levels.
