| Description: | Responsible under the supervision of the Senior Grant Writer, and in conjunction with other director-level and program staff, for the facilitation of the proposal development process through organizing, research and analysis activities, and for the planning, development and writing of grant proposals in support of the organization's mission and related activities. |
| Requirements: |
- Minimum B.A. or B.S., with strong demonstrated writing skills and the ability to read, comprehend, digest, and create compelling funding arguments using scientific, social-science, clinical, and medical data. MPH or dual degree [English or journalism/life science] desirable.
- Candidate must possess superior writing, analytical, and time-management abilities.
- Experience with federal grant submissions and grants.gov required. (Experience with HRSA EHB, Grant Solutions, and similar interfaces extremely desirable).
- Minimum two years' experience in proposal development. One + year(s) grant proposal development experience in a non-profit health context preferred.
- Computer literacy in the Windows environment required. Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience assembling and creating Adobe PDF files.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively required-both in written and oral media.
- Ability to digest and comply with detailed instructions a must, as is the ability to prioritize in the context of multiple projects. Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with others essential.
- Must possess valid California Drivers License and proof of current auto insurance as required by law.
- Bilingual English/Spanish Desirable, but not required.
