Job Title:	Research Assistant Opportunity: Korean Churches for Health Study

Location:	Sky Park Court, Kearny Mesa
Description:	This is a paid, part-time, temporary position Variable numbers of hours (6-12 hours/week over the course of ~12-18 months) Assist with recruiting, communicating, and meetings with Korean churches and participants Assist with designing and translating questionnaires, data collection and processing Assist with developing the intervention components and materials Assist with literature review, data analysis (and writing manuscripts, depending on skills and interest) Detailed documentation of project activities Other research tasks as needed (e.g., obtaining/organizing literature from library/internet) Administrative tasks and other tasks related to the study
Requirements:	BS or MPH degree or related science/health care degree preferred (or in progress), or related work experience Must be able to work in the office while not working in the field (church sites). Some weekend hours may be required. Weekly meetings required Traveling to churches in San Diego County: Reliable transportation and proof of insurance needed Preferred Skills: Fluency in English and Korean Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using the computer, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint Well-organized Detailed notetaking skills Dependable and able to meet deadlines Interested in gaining research experience Professional demeanor Initiative
