Congratulations on your admission to the Graduate School of Public Health at SDSU!
We are pleased that you will join us this fall.
You may wonder, what is next? Here is a brief synopsis of what you can expect over the next few months:
After you return your response card to us
You will hear from Graduate Admissions (via your WebPortal account) concerning the decision on your application by Graduate Admissions.
After you have been formally admitted by Graduate Admissions
You will need to complete the “Intent to Enroll” by the specified deadline.Watch your WebPortal account for information about the date by which you need to pay your fees, and your assigned date/time to register for classes via WebPortal.
(Note: The date/time assigned to you is the first possible moment that you may register; if you cannot register at that exact time, please note that you may do so at any point after that time, up to the end of the regular registration period.)
Graduate Admissions will notify Financial Aid of your admission. If you have applied for financial aid, you will hear from that office concerning your financial aid package.
Your I-20 will be issued by the International Student Center after you have been formally admitted by Graduate Admissions. Please contact the International Student Center with any questions or concerns regarding your I-20.
Toward the end of June
Advising letters will be sent to all new students via email. Please follow these letters in registering for your first semester of classes.
In early August
Information will be sent to you via email about the GSPH Orientation, scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, August 24. Please reserve the entire afternoon for this important event. Optional activities (such as campus tours) will take place that morning. You will be assigned to a faculty advisor at Orientation.
At this time, we do not have any GA/TA positions available. Any GA/TA position announcements will be sent out on the GSPH Mailing List. Please see the instructions to subscribe to the GSPH Graduate Mailing List. All students are encouraged to join the mailing list to receive important announcements from the GSPH.
Classes begin on Monday, August 28, 2017.
Have You Moved?
If you move during the summer, please be sure to change your address via WebPortal AND notify Brenda Fass-Holmes (firstname.lastname@example.org, 619-594-4492) of your new address.
