Dr. Helina Hoyt, Lecturer and Nursing Program Coordinator of the Imperial Valley Campus, has spearheaded an administrative supplemental grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) of $125,000 to create a coalition across Imperial County. The coalition will be made up of county and interdisciplinary campus leaders to tackle research priorities and infrastructure needs in Imperial County. Together, they will select a pilot project that will aim to improve the region’s minority health outcomes.
