Biographical Statement
Andreia Morales Cascaes is an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas, in Pelotas, Brazil and a visiting Adjunct Assistant Professor at SDSU. She holds a degree in Dentistry from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil (2006), a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil (2008) and a PhD in Epidemiology (2014) from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas, Brazil. During her PhD, she completed doctoral training at the Institute for Behavioral and Community Health (IBACH) at SDSU Research Foundation. Her research emphasizes the life cycle approach on oral health, psychosocial determinants of oral health, national surveys data analysis and planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion interventions in the context of Primary Healthcare.
