Dr. LaRee Tracy is a part-time lecturer at San Diego State University. She is an experienced statistician and epidemiologist, a career active duty officer of the US Public Health Service, and avid public health researcher. Dr. Tracy is a senior-level mathematical statistician at the US Food and Drug Administration, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research working in new drug approvals for anti-viral drug products. Dr. Tracy has worked in several research areas including solid organ transplantation, parasitic diseases, rare diseases, and pharmacoepidemiology while at FDA. Dr. Tracy has over 18 years’ experience working in public health and clinical research and product development to include experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and for an academic research center. Dr. Tracy is an active-duty Commissioned Corps officer (CDR) in the US Public Health Service. Prior to serving in the USPHS, CDR Tracy served as an officer in the US Army Medical Service Corps. Dr. Tracy is the recipient of several service awards including the Army Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and the USPHS Commendation Medal and has several publications.
