Dr. Michelle Takemoto earned her PhD in Public Health from the Joint Doctoral Program at UC San Diego and SDSU. She is a post-doctoral fellow funded through the American Heart Association at UC San Diego. Her research focuses on promoting healthy aging in the older adult population through increased preventive health including increasing physical activity and decreasing sedentary behavior. Dr. Takemoto is also interested in dissemination and implementation research and leveraging technology to design interventions for scale.
