After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Iowa, Rose joined the U.S. Peace Corps and served as an Agroforestry Volunteer in Paraguay, South America. Rose continued her education at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and graduated with a Master of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA). She has experience in both the private and public sector working with local, state and national environmental laws and regulations regarding water and air quality. Previously, Rose worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Office of Water’s Standards, Health and Protection Division, where she was responsible for applying risk assessment principles in the assessment of state water quality standards. Currently, Rose works for EPA Region 9’s Enforcement Division, focused on enforcement and compliance of the Toxic Substances Control Act and the Clean Air Act.
