Students 4 Public Health (S4PH) is an undergraduate organization of School of Public Health students committed to improving population health, promoting individual well-being, and eliminating health disparities across San Diego and globally.

We take action through hands-on service, education, and advocacy. Our members have participated in impactful initiatives such as the Public Health Brigade to Honduras in partnership with Global Brigades, a Washington D.C. networking trip connecting students with leading public health organizations, and a graduate school tour with the SDSU School of Public Health, which we’re excited to bring back this October 17th.

Locally, we organize eight+ annual community service events across San Diego, biweekly public health talks and workshops (open to all students, in-person and virtual), and fundraisers that raised over $500 last semester through collaborations with businesses like IZOLA, Rubios, Handel’s, and Matcha Cafe Maiko. We also host regular social events to foster a supportive and inclusive community for our members.

Through these efforts, we aim to empower students to engage meaningfully with public health, both in their communities and their careers.

Student Resources:

S4PH Peer Advising

We know how tough it gets sometimes! Whether you have questions about classes, your resume, careers in public health, getting involved on campus, or just want advice from someone who’s been there, peer advising is a great way to chat one-on-one with a board member. We aim to create a welcoming, supportive space where members can share their goals, ask questions, and learn more about opportunities in public health.

Your social media campaign will be posted to the S4PH Instagram account @students4publichealth OR http://instagram.com/students4publichealth. Topics may be broad or specific, for example, why we observe World Tuberculosis Day, or focused issues such as HIV awareness and available resources in San Diego.
