Effective TODAY our SDSU Community Health Workers will be reaching out to past contacts from Communities Fighting COVID!, our CHW-led contact tracing and assistance partnership with San Diego County Public Health Services, to schedule eligible residents of South County for COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
Community Health Workers representing the Latino, Arabic-speaking, Tagalog-speaking, and African American communities will place phone calls to residents aged 65+ of Chula Vista, National City, and San Ysidro to offer them COVID-19 vaccine appointments in their communities. If this outreach is successful it will be rolled out to other parts of the County in coming weeks!
