Biography: Dr. McDaniels-Davidson is the Director of the SDSU Institute for Public Health, Associate Director of Public Health Practice for the SDSU School of Public Health, and SDSU co-Leader for Community Outreach and Engagement at UC San Diego Health Moores Cancer Center. She earned her BS from Ithaca College in Community Health Education, MPH in Epidemiology from SDSU, and PhD in Public Health – Epidemiology from the SDSU-UCSD Joint Doctoral Program. She has a long history of communityengaged research and practice with San Diego County communities. Her research focuses on population health assessments as a tool to focus research and practice efforts and reducing HPV-related cancer disparities. She recently led two NCI-funded P30 supplements and, at the urging of the community, applied her skills to address COVID-19 inequities through NIH, HRSA, and HHSA-funded efforts
