Biography
Dr. Lloyd is Adjunct Faculty at the SDSU School of Public Health. She is a behavioral scientist focusing on the design and evaluation of community-based health programs, in particular community-based vector control. Dr. Lloyd has worked with ministries of health in low- and middle-income countries for over twenty years through her work in program evaluation, behavior change, and communication with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), among others. Dr. Lloyd is a member of the Lancet Commission on Dengue and other Arboviral Diseases and the NAS Forum on Microbial Threats. Dr. Lloyd also served in San Diego’s not-for-profit setting. She was the Director for the Center for Research at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine (2009 to 2013), where she was responsible for oversight of research studies, ensuring compliance with state and federal human subject protections and good clinical practice. While serving as the Vice President for Programs at the Alliance Healthcare Foundation, she worked extensively with not-for-profit organizations to strengthen access of underserved communities to healthcare services and prevention programs in San Diego County.
