Biography
Dr. Lloyd is a Lecturer at the SDSU School of Public Health, where she teaches Global Health (PH780). She is a behavioural scientist focusing on the design and evaluation of community-based health programs, in particular community-based vector control. Dr. Lloyd has worked with ministries of health in low- and middle-income countries for over twenty years through her work in program evaluation, behavior change, and communication with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), among others.
Dr. Lloyd also served for many years in San Diego’s not-for-profit setting. She was the Director for the Center for Research at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine (SDHIPM) from 2009 to 2013, where she was responsible for oversight of research studies, ensuring compliance with state and federal human subject protections and good clinical practice. While serving as the Vice President for Programs at the Alliance Healthcare Foundation, she worked extensively with not-for-profit organizations to strengthen access to healthcare services and prevention programs in San Diego County.
